Network server & workstation troubles

Hello, we've used QB POS for years & since installing 2018 QB POS- we've had to rename the company file 10 times since Jan 1, 2020. (got 2018 version end of Dec 29, 2019) We would typically only have to rename the co file when a computer restart would occur, from Windows updates while the server & workstation were both up--now it seems we're renaming the co file much more frequently--we purchased our POS always from A+ QBooks Consulting & services, LLC- who had always helped us int he past--now when I call them we are told we must find a networking expert, & that it is our network causing the issues, doe anyone know what specifications are necessary to keep us from having to rename the file over & over so that the workstation will stay hooked up to the server computer?

@KLACY Thank you for joining community.

If you are referring to editing the Host File, it could be happening because you have a Dynamic IP address.  QuickBooks POS Server Workstations should have a Static IP address.
