QB 2021 Accounant error 3371 -1

So i have already run the 3371 fix in the quick fix tool i also deleted the ecml file before this i didnt know i was wasting my time running the useless help tool. Even without an ecml file i still get error 3371 -1 on JUST qb 2021 accountant. This does not happen on any of the prior years i have. I have 2015 - 2021 qb accountant installed and 2018 - 2020 enterprise installed. None of the other years have this problem.

QB 2021 Accounant error 3371 -1

I appreciate all the efforts and the troubleshooting steps you've performed to fix the error 3371, @drksilenc.

I want to make sure this concern is taken care of, and I personally want to get this fix for you.

Since running the 3371 error fix from the QuickBooks Tool Hub doesn't resolve the issue, let's try performing a clean install to your QuickBooks Desktop 2021 so Windows can fix company file issues. Here's how:

Firstly, let's uninstall your QuickBooks Desktop. Please follow the steps below:

  1. Open the Windows Start menu. Search and open “Control Panel."
  2. Select Programs and Features or Uninstall a Program.
  3. From the list of programs, select QuickBooks Desktop 2021.
  4. Choose Uninstall/Change, then Remove
  5. Click Next.

Once done, you can now reinstall your QuickBooks Desktop. Then, activate it again to double-check.

If you get the same result after performing the clean install, I highly recommend contacting our QuickBooks Support Team. This way, they can further investigate this matter and provide additional troubleshooting steps to get this fixed. They can also create an investigation ticket if other users are experiencing the same.

As always, you can visit our QuickBooks Community help website if you need tips and related articles in the future.

Our doors are always open to help you again if you have any other concerns with activating QuickBooks Desktop. Have a blissful day.
