Last night, while upgrading Quickbooks Enterprise from the 2020 to the 2023 version for three workstations and a server, I noticed that the installation process no longer provides an option to uninstall the older version, leading to additional steps per workstation.
Moreover, after installing and activating the 2023 version, I attempted to uninstall the 2020 version, which seemed to cause issues with the 2023 installation. Consequently, the next time the program was opened, a repair process taking approximately 10 minutes was necessary. This extended the upgrade duration to about 20-30 minutes per workstation, compared to the previous 10-minute timeframe.
It's not bad when you have a handful of workstations, but when you have 30 to do, it's getting out of control.
