Join nowDoes anyone know of away to get the installer to run silently with all the questions already answered on first setup? This app is a pain to keep updated and takes a lot of labor to support just one app compared to the other enterprise apps I maintain for the company.
Thanks for reaching out to us, @eprunty.
Currently, there's no built-in feature to install QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) silently due to certain information and settings that need to be configured during setup. However, I recommend seeking advice from an IT professional to assist you in accomplishing this task.
I understand how this feature would be convenient for your business. For now, I encourage you to send feedback to our software engineers. This way, they can review your suggestion and may consider including it in our future product upgrades. To do that:
After installing, the program will prompt you to activate and update it. Here's an article to help you through the process: Activate QuickBooks Desktop for Windows.
Let me know in the comments below if you have further questions about installing QBDT. I'll be happy to provide additional assistance. Stay safe, and have a nice day ahead.

Yes. First download the installer if you don't have it yet: https://downloads.quickbooks.com/app/qbdt/products
Then run the installer with these command line switches:
QuickBooksEnterprise24.exe -s -a QBMIGRATOR=1 MSICOMMAND=/s QB_PRODUCTNUM=XXX-XXX QB_LICENSENUM=XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXX

It's for 2023, but 24 is the same. Running the installer silently has been a feature for perhaps 20 years.

Really? Running the installer silently has been a feature - built for IT people - for perhaps 20 years. Are you saying that - suddenly - Intuit disabled it? Seems unlikely.
If you do a little google search you'll find many hits describing how to do it.

In fairness, I would find it perfectly in character for Intuit to throw out something that has worked for decades for absolutely no reason.
@BigRedConsulting Thanks for the info. I have tried searching their documentation in the past for this and could not find anything mentioning the silent commands. Sadly I have been managing our QuickBooks installs for 18 years and doing it manually.
