A new client paid their deposit fee in full but Square took a service charge. I am trying to figure out the best way to enter that it QBO.

Let me assist you in recording the service charge from Square, traci7.

When the Square transactions downloaded into QuickBooks Online, the fees will be included as well. Though, if the fees aren't imported, we can add its amount when depositing the payment. That way, we can match the transaction to the total amount deposited into your actual bank. You can follow these steps:

  1. Go to the + New icon and click on Bank deposit.
  2. Enter all details needed.
  3. From the Add funds to this deposit section, add the square charge (negative amount).
  4. Click Save and close.
