Alternatives to raid storage?

Just like Death and Taxes, all digital storage devices and media are guaranteed to fail and you will lose the ability to retrieve any of the data stored.  This is why redundancy is so important for organizations, especially for mission-critical data and machines.

According to a support article I read on this site Inuit does not recommend hosting the QB company data files on RAID storage (I am guessing this has something to do with the parity bit)

I been trying to find an alternative to the redundancy RAID storage provides and it looks like the only other option is to set up a multi-node hyupervisor without using shared storage.  So i'm thinking about setting up a 3 node hypervisor and one of the nodes will be updated 72 hours behind the primary two nodes this will give me the redundancy RAID offers without having to use RAID storage and I wanted to know what Intuit thinks about this and if there are any issues with setting up QB server and hosting the QB company files on a hypervisor without shared storage.
