Desktop to Online

I have an Online Accountants account for my bookkeeping business, I have had my clients invite me and I am able to get to their bookkeeping.  I had just never actually upgraded the QB's file I have to run my business.  In trying to do that now I keep getting this message, Unfortunately, we encountered an error uploading your data to QuickBooks Online.   There isn't an actually error code.  I am in a position now that I must get my business books to online.  Wondering if anyone has any thoughts.

I'll make sure you'll be able to import data from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online. 

 

Let's perform a few troubleshooting steps to determine the reason why you're unable to upload your company data to QuickBooks online.

 

To begin, let's use the Verify and Rebuild tools to self-identifies and self resolved the most commonly known data issues within a company file. To proceed, please see the steps below:

 

  1. Go to the Window, then Close All to close all open QuickBooks windows.
  2. Choose the File menu, and then select Utilities.
  3. Click Verify Data.
  4. Then, go back again to Window, then Close All to close all open QuickBooks pages.
  5. Click File, and then Utilities.
  6. Select Rebuild data.

Once done, restart your desktop first before working again with QuickBooks. Then, right-click on the QuickBooks icon on your Desktop, select Run as Administrator, and move your company data accordingly.
