Different version of QuickBooks on 2 computers

I've got QuickBooks on 2 computers. I recently upgraded one of the computers from 2017 to 2020. How can I upgrade the second computer from 2017 to 2020 to be compatible with the other computer?

Let me guide you on how to upgrade your QuickBooks Desktop and make it compatible with the other computer, JBRR.

You can install the QuickBooks 2020 program on your computer with the new license and product details. Then, open your company file from 2017 in the 2020 program and a new version of Desktop will prompt you to upgrade the file.
