I have QB Pro 2020 I need to reinstall QB Pro 2017 for a client and it wont let me because I have other QB's on my computer do I have to take out QB 2020 first then reinstall both again?
You should not have a problem downloading 2017 from your intuit account and using the custom install option which should allow you to install 2017 beside 2018, 2019, 2020 and now 2021. If you chose express install you could not because express replaces the earlier ones and 2017 trying to override 2020 would fail
Even though I said you should have no problem, the solution you suggested of uninstall of 2020, install 2017 and then 2020 again (side by side) will only cost you the time involved.
As a matter of insurance I never delete old installs. Just remember you cannot open with 2017 any company file already opened by a newer version so you are limited to working with backups created with 2017
Where in your intuit account do you download the version that you bought

Hi there, Misty Blue.
I appreciate you for coming back to the thread to add some details about what happened to your QuickBooks account. With this, I'll ensure you'll be routed to the right support team to assist you further.
Once the company file is connected with the correct email address or it was registered under your Intuit account, you must get into your account with the information or data associated with your QuickBooks. Since there are no details connected with it, I suggest contacting our QuickBooks Support Team. They can perform screen sharing to check and see why the data are missing.
Here's how to reach them.
Please refer to this article to view troubleshooting steps on how to fix general problems when your company file won't open: What to do if you can't open your company file in QuickBooks Desktop.
