Join nowLong story short.... I need to import 2023 QB Mac Plus backup into a 2019 desktop version. I am installing the desktop version soon. I've spent hours and hours on QB support which was abysmal, and they want to charge me a $600+ year license fee for 2023 QB Mac Plus. We are a one person business, we used QB 2011 for years until my computer crashed in late 2023. I trialed 2023 QB Mac Plus but didn't realize how much it was going to cost us. I need the most basic of accounting software, so is there anyone out there who can do this import for me? I know QB won't.
You cannot rollback your version to an earlier version. You may have 2 options:
1. Keep using your QB Desktop 2023 with a lower cost.
2. Convert your data to QB Online, then convert it back to QB Desktop 2019. You will find some data types will be lost due to conversion limitations.

Thank you for posting your concern here, Pwehde.
When using QuickBooks Desktop, if you have updated your company file to the latest version while using QuickBooks Desktop Mac, you won't be able to use that upgraded file in an older version. This applies to all QuickBooks Desktop products, as previously mentioned by Fiat Lux - Asia.
I suggest scanning this article to learn about QuickBooks Desktop company file compatibility. This will help you avoid issues and errors when upgrading: Company file compatibility with QuickBooks Desktop when upgrading.
