Install qb file to SimpleStart

Copy it to a desired location on your hard drive and then open it form the QB File menu. If it's a backup, then restore it.

That noted, it's odd that you write that you are "upgrading to simple start".  Simple start was the most basic version of QuickBooks desktop, and so not an upgrade from any other version. I wasn't even aware Intuit still offered it.

Intuit offers two versions of Quickbooks, which is for Desktop and Online, and they are designed for different business types.
