Join nowHello,
I am trying to move my online quickbooks to desktop. The file is not loading into desktop correctly. None of my statements are reconciled (I expected that one), and no payments have been applied to any invoices. I don't know what else to do but manually go into the last couple years and literally fix everything on my own. Need advice please.
Did you convert it yourself or purchase a third-party service?
Welcome to the Community page, @AmandaPaige32.
Yes, you have the option to manually transfer your downloaded transactions from QuickBooks Online (QBO) to QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).
After converting your QBO data to QBDT, you may notice that some transactions are missing and the reports appear inconsistent. This occurs because QBO and QBDT use different reports, and the accrual tracking for transactions varies. However, it should have been reconciled if it was reconciled with QBO. All reconciled transactions will have a bold checkmark in the cleared column.
For more information, please see this article: Learn how features and data move from QuickBooks Online to QuickBooks Desktop.
Also, there are specific restrictions on how data is converted from QuickBooks Online to QuickBooks Desktop. While attachments won't transfer to the Desktop version, it is possible to capture and upload receipts to QuickBooks Desktop.
Refer to this article for further information on how your data converts from QBO to QBDT, aside from your clients' information: Limitations when you convert from QuickBooks Online to QuickBooks Desktop.
On the other hand, I suggest reaching out to our QuickBooks Desktop Support Experts. They can securely examine your data export process from QBO to QBDT to ensure the mapping is accurate and offer a prompt resolution.
I've also attached a comprehensive resource on restoring from backups, which could be useful for your future reference: Restore a backup of your company file.

The company that is hosting our quickbooks for us, assisted with transfer. I was expecting some things to not move over correctly but are feeling uneasy about no payments being applied to invoices I have billed over the last few years. I could apply them but just makes me think there has to be more that is messed up.
We paid for one of the top desktop Quickbooks and we paid a premium cost. But Quickbooks desktop will NOT help with this unless we drop another $2000 for 6 months of support. That, to me, is insane. No help setting up the software at all?! I can not pay that much more at this time.

Which one? Are they an authorized hosting provider?

What do you mean with "$2000 for 6 months support"? I am not sure they are a legit Intuit Support.
