My accountant cannot access my quickbooks, says that there is an error try again later

I appreciate you posting to this forum and letting us know your concern about the inability of your accountant to access your QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE), james.

Before we dig deeper into this, aside from the error message that your accountant encountered, can you tell me what specific actions your accountant took? Or does the error occur by simply trying to switch to your company file?

In the meantime, I’d suggest your financial advisor perform some basic troubleshooting when accessing your company file on their end. These steps will help eliminate common errors or any unusual behavior that may occur using a cloud-based application. To start, we can let your accountant log in to their account in a private window using the key shortcuts below:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N

After that, they can log back into their company file and manage this. Once done, let’s give your browser a fresh start by clearing the cache or cookies to prevent this from happening again. If not, using one of the supported browsers can also be a smart choice.
