The bank feed feature is part of the online service and has been deactivated after 31 May 2022 for your QBD 2019. You can only register the bank transactions manually or utilize a 3rd party tool to import the bank statements from CSV/XLS formats.
I'm here to share why you're unable to use the Bank feeds feature, JW2020.
I can see how helpful it is to download and track your bank transactions.
To ensure that the data of our customers are highly protected, we will discontinue those out-of-date, non-compliant, and missing updates software every three years.
The discontinuation includes QuickBooks Desktop Payroll Services, Live Support, Online Backup, Online Banking, and other services.
You can check this reference to know more about the this matter: QuickBooks Desktop discontinuation policy.
Though, you may upgrade your file to continue using the Bank feeds feature. I've added this link for the detailed steps to upgrade: Upgrade QuickBooks Desktop.
Afterward, you can download the transactions and assign them to their correct accounts.
Keep me posted whenever you have concerns with QuickBooks. I want to ensure that it gets taken care of.
I know why I cannot: QB is greedy. 2008 worked the same but worked without internet. I am downloading a physical file from my bank that contains information (internet needed for this) and uploading said information into QB (internet not needed for this). Please enlighten us as to why a physical document containing information needs to have internet access in order for the software, which works even without an internet connection (non-cloud based), to access and import said information.
I'll give an example of the same systematic workings for every program out there. I download an update to a USB drive, take it to a computer with software loaded on it, without an internet connection, and upload information into said program. All without internet.
The only reason this function wouldn't work is because QB put a block in their software during an update to FORCE customer to have to spend money annually, even if from a usability stand point they do not.
Quickbooks 2009 Pro Desktop need to install and my new PC doesn't have a floppy. Installer not available, just talked to support and they can't help -- anyone out there?
I am not sure your new PC can run QBD 2009. You can still purchase the one time license for QBD 2021 to upgrade your version.
I can share details of why the installer isn't available, RMR9.
Your Quickbooks Desktop 2009 Pro is no longer supported that's why it isn't available.
You may consider upgrading the version of your software to keep your business up and running. If you need help installing the upgraded version, you can find the complete guide in this article: Install QuickBooks Desktop.
After installing, you can browse articles from our Help page if you need help getting things done in future tasks to your account.
If you have follow-up concerns regarding the installation, don't hesitate to post again here. I'll be glad to help you more.
Hi Guys,
I'm having a similar problem.
I have a new laptop and tried downloading the very old version of Quickbooks (Quickbooks Simple Start) but now keep getting a message that I require a "Validation Code" and a "Customer Number" to complete the Registration process ?!?!?!?!!?
Regards,
Dave McNair

Your QBD version is too old and I am not sure Support will bother to generate the validation code. You have to Chat Support to ask for it.
Thank you for getting in touch about this, @DaveMcN. I'm here to help you get your validation code and a customer number.
Yes, I agree with Fiat Lux - ASIA. Since we're unable to gather sensitive information on a public platform such as the Community for security concerns. That said, I highly suggest contacting our QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) Technical Support Team. Also, they can guide you further with the registration process. Here's how:
Please check out this article for QuickBooks support hours: Contact QuickBooks Desktop Support.

Would you share the installer file for Quickbooks Pro 2011?

Thanks for swinging by the Community, @checksandbalances.
Let me step in and share my insights about how you can install and register QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) Pro 2011.
To begin downloading:
If you can't find your version of QBDT, versions from too long ago aren't available for download. On newer systems, we can't guarantee that outdated software will function. We no longer offer or support downloads for those products.
For a more detailed guide, please refer to this article: Download QuickBooks Desktop. Once done downloading, we can proceed to install it.
QBDT Pro 2011 is one of the older versions with discontinued services. After May 31, 2023, it'll cancel your access to live technical support or other Intuit services that can integrate with QBDT. This also implies you won't receive essential security updates starting June 1, 2023.
In line with that, we can't register discontinued products for the first time. We'll have to contact live support to get the validation code. However, if it's registered before, it will no longer require a code to activate. Also, please note that assisted support is no longer available for QBDT Pro 2011.
If you wish to import your QBDT company file to QuickBooks Online (QBO), I've got an article for you to refer to: Move your QuickBooks Desktop file to QuickBooks Online. We don't need to start from scratch again—we'll just have to move the file to a QBO company.
If you have additional concerns with installing QBDT, I'd be more than glad to assist you. Take care, and have a good day!

You can use a 3rd party tool to import your invoice to your QB Desktop 2013. It is a one time license

Which MacOS do you run?
Anyway, you said that you were using QB Desktop 2017 and 2018 for Mac? Are you sure?
Hello there, jrlomr. While waiting for your answer to 4Gal's follow-up questions, I am also joining this thread to provide information about accessing your company file successfully.
QuickBooks versions from 2015 to 2018 are no longer supported. The reason your computer crashed when opening your company file is that you are using an unsupported version of QuickBooks that doesn't meet the system requirements.
To prevent any loss of your company file, you can utilize our QuickBooks Desktop Mac trial to restore your company file to the latest version. From there, create a backup copy of your company file so you'll always have a copy of your financial information. It helps you restore your file whenever needed.
Once you have made the decision to upgrade your company file and access it using your new Mac mini device, you can proceed with the installation and setup process. Install and upgrade your company file by following the steps outlined in this article: Install and set up QuickBooks Desktop for Mac.
However, if you want to keep the current version you have, I recommend continuing the download/installation process on your old Mac if you are still using it for compatibility.
I also recommend checking out this article on the new features that have been added to QuickBooks Mac Plus 2023: What's new in QuickBooks Mac Plus 2023.
If you still need more information and further help accessing QuickBooks successfully on your device, please don't hesitate to add another post. I'm here whenever you need assistance. Take care and have a good one.
what third party app works for this? I'm in a similar situation. Thanks
What similar situation do you mean?
I have Quickbooks contractor edition premier 2008 that no longer works and the post said you can get a third party app to help create a back up and move to a newer version. I'd like to know what third party app.
You don't need to use a 3rd party app to do so. What you need is the trial version of QB Desktop 2011, 2015, 2018, and 2021 to upgrade your data file gradually to a newer version (e.g 2024). Contact me in private and we can share the trial codes or purchase our service to upgrade your data file.
Allow me to chime in and provide additional information, @MadMedic953.
To begin, I suggest using our QuickBooks Desktop Mac trial to upgrade your company file to the most recent version. Once you have done that, make sure to create a backup copy of your company file so you can always have a copy of your financial information. This will help you recover your file without any difficulty whenever required.
For the specific third-party app, you can ask @Fiat Lux - ASIA for more information about the third-party app or for recommendations.
I will also add this article to guide you in update your company file: Update your company files to a newer version of QuickBooks Desktop.
Please let me know if you have other questions about the backup copy of your company file or other QBDT-related concerns. I’ll be right here with you.
The mac file doesn't work for me, i'm not using a mac and my windows laptop won't open it, just tried. I just need to pull a backup of the 2008 edition and since I can't open it, I can't pull a back up. Again, it was mentioned there was a third party app that would help. That's all I need.
