Join nowI have just installed Quickbooks desktop for Mac 2019, and the program opens and launches the welcome screen. However when I try to open any file, including the sample, the program crashes. I have reinstalled with same result.
I'm here to assist you in opening your newly installed QuickBooks, Lifeline.
QuickBooks might not be compatible with the system you are using that's why it crashes when we try opening it. We can uninstall QuickBooks again and then repair it before we reinstall. This way, we can refresh the installation process.
Here's how to repair QuickBooks by removing both the PLIST files from the User and System folder:
User PLIST
System PLIST
After removing the PLIST files, let's restart your device and then reinstall QuickBooks.
Feel free to get back to me if you need help with running your company.
Thanks for providing the crash report, @Lifeline.
While reviewing the crash report I see that you have the latest release of QuickBooks 2019 for macOS and that you're running on macOS Catalina. Since the clean install didn't work in your case, I recommend reaching out to our QuickBooks for Mac Support Team. They'll be able to get into a screenshare and take a look to see what the root of the problem may be. Getting in touch is super easy and only takes a moment. Check it out:
That's it! Use the Reply option below if you have anything else you'd like to ask. I'll be here for you. Have a good one!
