Quickbooks Webconnector .NET framework errors.

We've been using Quickbooks Desktop Pro Plus 2022 for awhile now. We recently installed the appropriate WebConnector version. Unfortunately, we're running into what appears to be some runtime issue that I'm unsure of how to handle.

 

We've attempted to disable .NET 4.8 in our Windows features and install .NET 4.5 (but no-can-do given 4.8 is already installed). We've uninstalled, re-installed, all that.

 

Of note, after installing WebConnector, the error message noted below (and in the screenshot attached) started happening not just when trying to open WebConnector but also just when initially logging into my machine.

 

Any help would be appreciated as we feel a bit stuck at the moment.

Quickbooks Webconnector .NET framework errors.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention, fulcrum-developers. 

 

We appreciate all your efforts in fixing the error. Let's go over some troubleshooting steps to get your QuickBooks working back to normal. 

 

The .NET Framework facilitates the running of interface programs appropriately, and QuickBooks makes extensive use of it throughout the application. QuickBooks versions use different .NET frameworks to make the work more smooth, it gets damaged sometimes and causes errors.

 

We'll review the settings for .NET Framework 4.5 (or later) as well as .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 and make sure they're turned on. I'm here to guide you on how to accomplish these tasks.

 

For .NET Framework 4.5 (or later), and the box isn't checked:

 

  1. Mark the box to enable .NET Framework 4.5 (or later).
  2. Select OK to save your changes.
  3. Restart your computer.

 

If the .NET Framework 4.5 (or later) box is already selected:

 

  1. Tick the box to deactivate .NET Framework 4.5 (or later). Don't turn it back on.
  2. Choose OK to save your changes.
  3. Restart your computer.

 

When you log back into Windows, perform the process to enable .NET Framework 4.5 again. To configure your NET Framework 3.5 SP1, follow the instructions in this article: Manually fix Microsoft .NET Framework errors. Head directly to the following section: Check NET Framework 3.5 SP1.
