what is the latest version of QBO? I have 1.24.1 and I think there is an update that fixes the P&L desktop
As far as I know QuickBooks Online does not have versions.
(Also, you posted this as a QuickBooks Desktop question.)
I appreciate your time in sharing your query here with us today, Kaydq.
For us to provide you with a resolution, I want to ensure we've got the right information about your issue. May I confirm if you're using QuickBooks Online for Desktop App? Are you referring to 1.24.1 as the recent operating system of your device? What specific issues you've encountered when running Profit & Loss reports in your account? What specific tasks do you want to achieve in managing data on your file? Any additional information is much appreciated, as this will help us identify further and assist you in getting this resolved.

Yes I am using 1.24.1 desktop online version.
with the first migration I could not get a profit & loss statement using the desktop side. Error message said "We are working on it"
I spent over 5 hours on tech support with many different agents and was finally told my files were corrupt and I needed to contact one of their accountants to fix my books - at a further expense of course.
I then proceeded to try and change my accounts to supposedly match the list QB provides.
Things went from bad to worse. Then I clicked to the accountant's view and the P&L state was there! By that time, I had screwed up my files so badly I decided to delete the whole file and remigrate from my QB 2021 Pro.
I did and saw I was right back to where I started and the P&L report on the desktop side was still not there and the same error message came up.
I appreciate you taking some steps to resolve and achieve your goal of getting a Profit & Loss Statement, Kaydq. I can also understand how vital it is to view the report via the QuickBooks QuickBooks Online Desktop App. I'll share an update about this or the problem you're experiencing and point you to the right support team to assist you further.
Please know that getting an error of "We are working on it" when accessing one of the reports is marked as an ongoing issue. Rest assured that our engineers are working hard to determine the root cause of this problem and provide a solution.
For now, open your QBO Desktop app as Admin as a workaround. Then, click the Reports tab in the sidebar menu to run the mentioned statement above.
I suggest contacting our QuickBooks Online support again so they can add you to our notification list. This will help our engineers determine the number of affected users. You'll receive updates through email once the issue is resolved.

I have found the reports do not work choosing them from the top - only from the sidebar. That took a while for me to figure out. I thought it was my files that were causing the issue and started redoing the chart of accounts. Then I realized it was in the program. AT that point I just deleted the files completely and started over. A whole lot of time and angst for the amount of money I spend to upgrade to this new system.
This system is very unwieldy for a small business operator. I only need the check register, P&L statements, reconcile and 1099s.
How do I delete all the popups and ads?? Again, shouldn't happen with the money paid for the program.

Intuit took the feature away? Why'd you do that?
