Join nowHello All,
We are trying to move our QB from an old PC using QB desktop 2016 to a new computer. We have the CD with QB Desktop 2009 and evidently at some point we update to 2016 online. We installed QB 2009 on the new PC using the disc but restoring from QB 2016 to QB 2009 isn't working. I assume we need to upgrade the QB 2009 to QB 2016, but where can I find the downloadable upgrade?
Hope someone can help.
Best,
DB
I am confused. You were using QBD 2016 to work on your file, correct? Why did you install QBD 2009? Do you have the installer file for QBD 2016?

This is all new to me so please forgive me.
We have an original disc of QB Desktop 2009 which was installed on our old PC. That version was upgraded to QB 2016. We purchased a NEW computer and want to move everything from the old PC to the new one. Instead, we installed QB 2009 on the new PC and tried to move the company information over, but it didn't work. Not sure but we believe the versions are the problem. So we are trying to find a file to upgrade the QB 2009 installation on the new PC to QB 2016 (which is what we did on the old PC) so we can move the company information over. If we could find a download of QB Desktop 2016 we would install that on the new PC and call it a day, but we cannot find it.
Thanks for the help!
