Hello. We have Quickbooks for Mac 2009 on an old iMac, and want to transfer our date to Quickbooks for Mac 2021 on a newer iMac. Has anyone had experience with this type of transfer? Thank you!

Install the trial version for QBD 2021 on your machine. Create a backup file on your QBD 2009 and restore it on the new one. If you encounter an error message, you may need to upgrade your file on QBD 2014 as the first step. Which MacOS do you run on your old machine?
Hi - thanks for the reply.
the old iMac is running 10.11.6, and the newer machine is 2019, and is up to date.
We’re running 10.11.6 on the old machine.
thanks!

Do you need to upgrade your data to QBD 2019 or 2021?
I'm upgrading to Mac2021. I want to transfer QB files from QB2009 on a 2009 iMac running 10.11.6 to QB2021 on a 2019 iMac running 11.6.
Our advise is till the same as earlier. Install the trial version for QBD 2021 and restore the backup file created on QBD 2009.
