I am attempting to restore a QBB file which has been exported from Quickbooks 2019 for Mac. It has been exported to Quickbooks for Windows. which created a QBB file.
I am attempting to restore to Quickbooks Premier. After I choose my file, it tells me my company file must be updated for the 2020 version. Halfway through the update, I get an error code (-1,0) and it stops.
I'm surprised you're getting that error with 2019, but it may have to do with going from Mac to Win.
I'd suggest you not use a Backup File, but actually use the Windows QBDT2019 Company.QBW File. I'd also suggest in QBDT2019 you run File > Utilities > Rebuild Data. Then use that cleaned up file with QBDT2022. This will hopefully clean up any miscellaneous issues that happened in the conversion (or that just existed in the old Mac version).
Then just place that .QBW file where you want QBs to live and go through the same process you did before, but this time pick Open Company File and just point QBDT2022 to this file.
It is possible that the backup file created on the Mac is corrupted. Was the backup file created by your client or by yourself?
