Trying to update billing information code and receiving error code 81624

Hi there, tamarr.davis@eas.

I'm here to guide you in updating your billing information. Allow me to share some details about why you're receiving this error code in QuickBooks.

The Error Code: 81624 refers to the payment authorization failed. The reason for this is an invalid address or the details entered aren't matching with the bank.

For now, I recommend performing a browser troubleshooting method to check if this is caused by the saved outdated data. First, you have to use an incognito browser to avoid saving the data. Then, try to change your billing information and then check if it has the same error. If no, you can go back to your regular browser and clear the cache to delete the outdated data.

Here are the keyboard shortcuts to access an incognito browser:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Hold down Command + Shift + N

However, if you're still getting the same error. You'll want to reach out to your financial institution to verify your card information and make sure everything is correct.

While waiting for your bank's response, you can use a different card until everything is working fine.

Furthermore, I include this article to help you manage your QuickBooks Self- Employed account: QuickBooks Self-Employed Overview.

I'll be here if you need help with other things. Don't hesitate to let me know in the comment section. Have a lovely day.
