Join nowI just clicked the current security update to Mac High Sierra, and subsequently the QB update when the window popped up. Despite restarting/quitting etc, all I get is a window with sublimated content and most of the menu items above can't be clicked on. I'm not running anything complex and everything's up to date (despite it being an old desktop), am I missing something obvious, or is there an easy fix? I surely can't be the first to get this, thanks for input!

(I was spiraling into despair and did the only sensible thing–I left the damned thing alone and went for a walk and later proceeded with pen and paper. Computers, like beer and sauerkraut and black tea, just need a little time to steep. The tech gods smiled and when I reentered the fray all my info was there, just in time for the tax man. )
