There is no QB Desktop 2025. You can purchase QB Desktop 2024 Accountant Plus to upgrade your version and Intuit will support it until 2027 as long as you pay the renewal fee.

Yes, Alex480. The server-client installation for QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) is still available for the updated versions. I will provide more details about this.

The QuickBooks Database Server Manager allows you to share your company files with other computers on your network. To enable users to access these files, you need to run the QuickBooks Database Server Manager during the network setup. It also helps monitor your multi-user network. Regarding your other question, the fee for your QuickBooks Desktop account is billed annually, rather than as a one-time charge.

Starting QB Desktop 2022, they only offer the subscription license. Why should you upgrade from 2021?

With that being said, I can just update it to a 2024 version, on-prem, just to keep app up-to-date.

The one that setup the payment for this account is no longer with the company so I can't check how much is being paid annually.

You have to call their Sales team by phone to purchase the new license. Another option, you can purchase it through a reseller and you can get $200 cashback.
