Upgraded my account now everything is missing

I'm here to ensure we can bring back your missing data in QuickBooks, Tina. 

 

Before you upgrade, we recommend you download and back up your data since you no longer have access to your old account at the end of the process.

 

If you upgrade from QuickBooks Self-Employed to QuickBooks Online (QBO), you need to click the Bring my data option. This option ensures all your existing financial data, including categorized transactions, marked paid invoices, and other important records are transferred seamlessly to QBO. Check out this article for details: Switch from QuickBooks Self-Employed to QuickBooks Online.

 

On the other hand, if you upgrade to QuickBooks Solopreneur, limited information can be transferred automatically. This includes customers, invoices, trips, and products and services. Refer to this article for more information: Upgrade from QuickBooks Self-Employed to QuickBooks Solopreneur.

 

If you migrate either product and choose the ‘Bring my data’ option but find no data, we can log in to your account using an incognito window to start fresh. Sometimes, it takes a little time for everything to sync properly. You can use the following keyboard shortcuts:
 

  • Safari: Command + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: CTRL + Shift + P
  • Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + N

 

Once everything's in there, return to your regular browser and clear the cache.  There are times when information won't populate due to cache or browser issues. Otherwise, you can use other supported browsers to help narrow down the cause of this behavior. 

 

If the issue remains, I suggest contacting our Phone Support team for further investigation. They can initiate a screen-sharing session to determine the main cause of this.
