Upgrading from Quickbooks desktop Mac 2014 running Yosemite

To ensure you run your business flawlessly, you'll want to upgrade to the latest QBDT for Mac 2021. This version is already packed with the latest enhancement that QuickBooks has to offer. You can also try if for free to familiarize its features prior to upgrading.

Before doing so, I recommend to back up your company file so you can restore it in the newer version. I'd also suggest contacting our Support team to assist you in upgrading your file. They have the tools to convert your data seamlessly.

You should purchase a one time license of QB Desktop 2021 for Mac to run on Catalina or BigSur as mentioned by JasroV. The real issue is how you will upgrade your existing company file. You may utilize the trial license of QBD 2021 prior to purchasing it and ask Support to upgrade your file. Otherwise you may contact us in private and we will help to upgrade your file with a fee.
