Thank you for your quick replay.

Does desktop allow a file to be opened by more than one user at the same time?
Hi @DP1965,
If you have multiple license seats, QuickBooks Desktop allows multiple users to access or work on a company file at the same time. Let me help you to find out how many licenses you have.
Here's how:
To find current pricing information for adding users to your license:
To update your new license information:
If you’ve already added a user, set up a multi-user network so you can access your company files from other computers. For more details, refer to this article: Set up and install a multi-user network for QuickBooks Desktop.
Let me share this article in case you want to access the company file remotely: Open a company file located on a remote computer.

We currently are using QB 2019 desktop on our Mac. We sometimes have very unreliable internet, so frankly I'm hesitant to subscribe to an online service. We were without internet for an entire day last week after major storms. At least I could work in QB to keep everything current. So with no internet will I still be able to access QB 2022 and continue working? We already subscribe to QB payroll and the same question comes up. If internet is down, then no work gets done? It's all well and good to say you back things up, but if one can't access it, then what?
Hi there, @officemanager07.
Yes, it could be hard to get a stable connection especially if there are weather interruptions and others. The good news is, you can do your business as usual and continue using QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) for Mac 2022 without an internet connection same as the other versions. However, please ensure that you have a connection while installing the application to complete the process. You can check out this article as your guide in getting the QBDT for Mac 2022: Install and set up QuickBooks Desktop for Mac.
