1099 Misc.

I have some landlords that that get paid via ACH and some with checks, plus some landlords have multiple tenants. Is there a way I can print a separate 1099 for the landlords that have multiple tenants? (1 1099MISC. for each tenant).

1099 Misc.

Thanks for coming here, @Boss woman.

Yes, you can print a separate 1099 Misc for the landlords having multiple tenants. Let me help you perform this.

Before that, please know that the steps to print 1099 Misc depend on whether you e-filed or not. For more info, you can read this article: Print your 1099 and 1096 forms

Here's how to print:

  1. Update your QuickBooks Desktop file to the latest release. Be sure to select the Reset Update checkbox. You must be on the latest release for your 1099s to print correctly.
  2. Go to Vendors, then select 1099 Forms, then Print/E-file 1099 Forms. Create your 1099s.
  3. In the Choose a filing method window, select Print 1099-NEC or Print 1099-MISC.
  4. Specify the date range for the forms, then choose OK.
  5. Select all vendors that have multiple tenants to print 1099s for.
  6. Pick Print 1099
  7. Double-check your printer settings, then select Print.

You can also check out the Make Fine Alignment Adjustments section of this link for details on printer setup: Align, checks, invoices, and other forms for continuous-feed (dot matrix) printers.

If you have additional questions about printing your 1099 Misc form, never hesitate to reply to this post. Have a good one.
