This is the second year that I have to use a paper version of the 940.  QuickBooks total gross wages paid field isn't large enough for a $10,506,748.63 annual payroll amount.  Any thoughts on when this will be fixed??

It's been an issue for 20 years.  Doubt a fix is coming anytime soon.

Hello there, NBT.

I have some insight to provide you regarding your concern about the amount limitation.

QuickBooks Desktop has a limitation when printing payroll forms. It can only print up to $9,999,999.99 only in any of the boxes.

Right now, there's no update yet from the product developers as to when this will be available. I believe the more flexibility the product has, the more it will appeal to the audience.

That said, I'vee added this request to our own internal product enhancement list, which we send directly to them. You can also send feedback by clicking the Gear icon and selecting the Feedback option.

Has there been any updates in regards to the 940 not printing or printing as 9,999,999.99?

QB Enterprise - gross payroll over $9,999,999.99 and still no fix on field length after 3 years from QB on the Annual Form 940. This is ridiculous - it needs a field length adjustment on the form everywhere that amount occurs. What is so hard about fixing the code for the form and giving you clients a payroll update???? I am an accountant and former programmer - PLEASE FIX THIS ASAP!
