Good morning, @richard85

I hope you're enjoying the day so far.

I've included the steps below for receiving invoice payments made outside of the program. If you have questions about what account you need to use, you'll need to reach out to your accountant as they can advise the best course of action for your business. If you don't have an accountant, don't sweat it. You can find one here in our Resource Center.

1. Hit the +New button, then choose Receive Payment

2. Pick the name of the customer from the drop-down menu.

3. Select the transaction from the Outstanding Transactions section.

4. Choose the Payment Method

5. If applicable, enter the Reference no. and Memo

6. Pick your checking account, or Undeposited funds account to deposit the money in.

7. Click Save and close once you're finished.

You can see more details outlined in Record invoice payments in QuickBooks Online

Let me know if you have further questions or concerns. I'll be here to help you every step of the way. You can always reach out to the Community or me anytime you need assistance. Take care and have a great week!

I appreciate you getting back to us and clarifying about your concern, @richard85.

You can enter a bank deposit for the Stripe fee to clear the balance from the Undeposited Funds account and move it to your bank account. Let me guide you through the process.

  1. Click the + New button, then select Bank Deposit.
  2. Mark the invoice payment you received from the Select the payments included in this deposit section.
  3. Expand the Add funds to this deposit section to add a new line item.
  4. In the Received From column, enter the credit card fee as a vendor.
  5. In the Account column, add or select an expense account you use to track these fees.
  6. In the Amount field, enter a negative fee amount.
  7. Make sure the deposit matches the net bank deposit amount.
  8. Click Save and close.

After following the steps above, you'll be able to record the Stripe fee in your QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Once you're ready to match the payments transaction in QBO, feel free to check out this article for more details: Categorize and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.

Keep in touch if you need any more assistance with this, or there's something else I can do for you. I've got your back. Have a good day and stay safe.
