I have a bank account with sub account that I had a balance of $336.00 in it. The balance when I bring up the register for that specific sub-account shows the balance, but when I do a balance sheet or look at my register for ALL accounts the $336.00 disappears without my entering any withdrawal??? Any ideas please? Thanks
It's good to see you here in the Intuit Community, BJW1953,
Let me get the help you need to ensure that your Sub Bank account will show in the Balance Sheet report.
To further isolate the issue, kindly open a sample file. From there, open the report then click on the drop-down button beside the sub bank account. If it shows, kindly go back to your company file. Check and run the Balance Sheet report again.
I'm attaching some screenshots for your reference.
Please let me know how it goes. I'd happy to further assist. Have a great day!
It isn't clear why you have Subaccounts; you should never have just one, though, if you have Any. Like this:
Checking <== never use this level except to Reconcile
Subaccounts: Admin/Operations and Restricted Funds.
For this: "for ALL accounts the $336.00 disappears without my entering any withdrawal?"
You should see "- Other" and 0 for the Parent, in the reporting, as it is Pulled out for separate Subtotal. It doesn't Go Away; in the Chart of Accounts you see the Rolled Up Total of all subaccounts + anything listing in the Parent, which is why you Never List into the Parent.
Run the Bal Sheet Standard.
Ha, It was resolved when I rebuilt the data base. Duh....
I'm having an issue that involves original question. I have bank subaccts for 2 classes. When I do the Balance Sheet for all classes, it shows the correct bank balance. When I do a Balance Sheet for each class, the bank balance either doesn't show up at all or only lists on transaction. These bank subaccts were opened with member equity deposits. I'm confused why they wouldn't show up in each filtered class Balance Sheets. I will say my member equity is off as well with each class filtered Balance Sheets.
I did change my deposit to a JE. Only the JE shows up. I can't go back and make all deposits into JE. That would be ridiculous
