Join nowHi there,
We currently use Quickbooks Pro 2016 which is saved on our Server, i.e, all company files are on our Server. However, we are not able to run Quickbooks for the said company files through VPN access.
Same can only be accessed after copying the company files on our PC.
Kindly advise on how to remedy the above issue.
Many thanks
S.Bhat
Do you familiar with Windows RDP or need other options?

Virtual private networks can be useful for accessing QuickBooks when necessary. If you're experiencing issues pulling up your company files after connecting, you'll want to make sure you've connected to the correct VPN.
In the event you're receiving a "No company file can be found" message, it would mean your selection doesn't have a valid file location.
This can happen due to a company file being moved, your network being down, etc. You can fix it by locating the file, then signing in to your books.
Here's how:
1. Click Open or restore an existing company. 2. Select Open a company file, then Next.
3. Locate your company file and hit Open.
If you're unable to find the ones you need, I'd recommend contacting our Customer Care Team for assistance with locating your files:
1. In the top menu bar, go to Help, then QuickBooks Desktop Help.
2. Click Contact Us.
3. Enter a brief description of your issue in our Ask a question (or tell us what's wrong) field.
4. Hit Continue.
5. You'll be provided with a few support options. Select Start messaging or Get a callback.
Make sure to review our support hours so you'll know when agents are available.
Please feel welcome to post a reply if there's any questions. Have a great day!
