Join nowI'm the accountant for my client using QB Online but I don't have the option to close their books. Why not? The client knows nothing about closing dates. And if I don't close the period, I can't risk having them make changes to my work.
Help please!
Go to Settings and then select Accounts and Settings.
Select the Advanced tab.
Select Edit n the Accounting section.
Select the Close the books checkbox.
Enter a closing date.
I didn't ask how to do it. I already know how, but the option to do so isn't there.
Just FYI --- it appears the client added me as a regular user rather than an accountant which explains why I can't see the closing options.
Only Primary Admin and Company Admins(s) are allowed to do that. If your client declined to change your profile to Company Admin, ask them to close book by themselves.
