Accountant's copy transfer file problems with Chrome

For the past month or so (Feb 2021) I haven't been able to download Accountant's Copy Transfer Files sent through the ACFT service while using Chrome. It seems to work if I use Explorer. Is there a fix? It don't like having  to log in to gmail through Explorer. I've also been having issues with the accountant's copy. It unexpectedly shuts down every time I make an adjusting journal entry. But that's another issue.

Accountant's copy transfer file problems with Chrome

Let me help you with your concerns, Dafohs.

We'll go over the first one. Internet Explorer is QuickBooks' default web browser. It's the reason why we let you use it when you download or import the Accountant's copy.

Concerning the program that shuts down unexpectedly, I'll share two articles to help you. If you encountered an error "Page cannot be displayed" when downloading the copy, you can refer to this article and follow Solutions 1-3: Troubleshoot Accountant File Transfer service issues. However, if it's the software that's crashing, you can check this reference for the steps: Solutions for when QuickBooks has stopped working.

Let me also add this article to better guide you with downloading the Accountant's copy: Import your accountant's changes into your company file in QuickBooks Desktop.

Get back to this thread if you need more help. We're just one comment away. Take care!

Accountant's copy transfer file problems with Chrome

Thanks Kristine. The Explorer vs Chrome issue must be new. It's inconvenient but doable as long as I can get into gmail through Explorer. I only have the problem using ACFT. If the accountant's copy is emailed to me, there's no problem

The crashing is also new, but might be a 2018 version issue. The software crashes when making an adjusting journal entry. It at least records the entry before crashing, but I need to reopen the program after each AJE. I've tried working on these three different files on three different workstations. Two using Windows 7 and one Windows 10 and have the same problem. I'll post here if I figure it out.
