Area check memo prints overruns my routing and account number. Is there any way to adjust the memo placement on printed checks?

I appreciate you visiting the Community, Scott.

Let me share information regarding the ability to adjust checks when printing.

In QuickBooks Online, you can only modify the alignment of the amount within the check to ensure they're in the right place. Although, you can adjust the scale on your print dialog box.

In the meantime, you can edit the memo on the check by separating and shortening the lines to ensure it won't overrun the routing or account number when printing.

On the other hand, you can also utilize a third-party application that best suits your business needs. Here's how:

  1. On the left pane, select Apps.
  2. Head to the Find apps tab.
  3. Enter a keyword in the search field.
  4. Select the application, then Get app now.

Moreover, you can review these articles to help you resolve related issues when printing check:

Furthermore, consider running and customizing a report to gain valuable insights regarding your business finances that are essential when making informed decisions.

Don't hesitate to click the Reply button if you have additional questions when printing checks or other related concerns in QuickBooks Online. I'll be around to help.

This just started happening to me also, the check memo line sits way too low on the check. This has never been a problem until recently. Quickbooks needs to correct this issue, users should not have to download a 3rd party app in order for our checks to print properly. This is a huge inconvenience that needs to be addressed and corrected promptly.

I recognize that there can be changes within software after several updates, @BW2022. I appreciate you informing us of this issue.

I'm here to share some troubleshooting options for resolving the check memo field alignment so that it doesn't overrun other fields in the check and route you to our Support Team to create an investigation case for our Product Engineers to resolve in upcoming updates.

Adjusting the scale or page size for printing varies depending on your setup and the printing experience, which can be from your browser, Adobe Acrobat, or printer driver. Here are some common tips for adjusting the scale of your tool:

After this, I encourage reaching out to our Support Team to inform our Product Engineers of this problem. Here's how you can reach out to them:

1. In your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account, go to Help (?).

2. Select either of these tabs:

  • Assistant tab and type Talk to a human.
  • Search tab and click on Contact us to connect with a support expert.

3. Choose how you want to reach us (phone or chat).

For Plus, Essentials, or Simple Start, support is available Monday to Friday from 6 AM to 6 PM PT and Saturday from 6 AM to 3 PM PT. For Advanced, support is available any time and any day.

As a future reference, let me add this guide for managing your expenses in QBO: Enter and manage expenses in QuickBooks Online.

You're always welcome in the Community if you have further concerns about printing check alignment in QBO. We'll do our best to assist.

This is not a scale problem. The other fields line up perfectly; it's ONLY the memo field that is too low, by about 1/4 inch. Letting us adjust each field on the check rather than the entire thing would help greatly.
