Join nowHow do I see who put an item on backorder and the date/time? When I look at the sales order, there are two tabs on the right, "Customer and Transaction". However, when I click on transaction it shows "last edited" and the user, but it doesn't show what changes they made. Please help.
You can run an Audit Trail report, @user010101.
Follow the steps below on how to generate it:
The Num column will display the user-specified number for each modified or deleted transaction. The State column identifies whether you are looking at the most recent version of a transaction (the Latest) or an earlier version of the same transaction (a Prior).
When a transaction is added, one entry is listed directly under the transaction heading in the Audit Trail report. When a transaction is modified or deleted, the change displays directly under the transaction heading.
If a transaction is modified more than once, a Prior entry for each change displays under the same transaction heading. You can double-click on the transaction to view the added information.
See the following article for more information: Understand reports. Also, the following article on how to customize reports in QuickBooks Desktop.
I'm always glad to help if there's anything that you can help. Have a wonderful day!
I find it difficult to believe that I have to build a report containing every single transaction just to see who put an item on backorder.
