Join nowQB Desktop 2020 (for mac) doesn't seem to auto-fill sub-accounts by name, when, for example, attempting to assign an account to a transaction. For example, typing 'meals' does not auto-select 'Meals & Entertainment' if it is under 'Expenses > Travel Expenses > Meals & Entertainment'. It does however auto-fill by account number (i.e. typing '6-5100' does select the proper account). But who can remember 100+ account numbers? This makes data entry very cumbersome. The only solution I see is to not use sub-accounts at all. Is there a way to enable 'search by sub-account name'? If not, then I highly recommend adding this capability. Seems like this would be a trivial thing to add — and would save a lot of time/frustration.

SOLVED! Go to 'Preferences: Transactions' and check 'Show lowest subaccount only'. Not only will it only show the lowest sub-account selected, but it will also auto-fill based on the sub-account name. This also makes the names much more readable.
