Best Quickbooks Subscription

I have a client that has four different businesses... four different EIN's. Can this client have all businesses set up in one subscription or is it advised to have a separate subscription for each entity?

I'm delighted to hear about your interest in using QuickBooks, Kim.

QuickBooks Online (QBO) only allows you to sign up for one company per subscription. For your client's other businesses, they'll have to sign up for a new QBO account.

Here's how:

  1. Go to https://quickbooks.intuit.com/pricing/.
  2. Choose the QuickBooks version you need.
  3. Click Buy now or Start a 30 days free trial.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.

Perform the same steps for the remaining companies you wish to set up in QBO. Here's an article that provides an overview of managing company files and switching to another one: Create or add another company file to QuickBooks Online.

If you're using QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), you can add your client's business to your account. Then, create a company file for each entity.

Below are some links that will guide you on how to begin utilizing the desktop and online programs: :

What kind of business they run? Consider QB Desktop.
