QBO IS NOW ALLOWING MANUAL INVOICE NUMBER ENTRY WHEN YOU HAVE "Custom transaction numbers" TURNED OFF!!!!
If you are not careful, you could end up with Invoice numbers that are not consecutive, and are all over the place.
I currently have an open ticket with support and they have called me on each of the last two days and then hung up on me when I answered. I have notified oopescalations(at)intuit.com about the issue and the prank calls, but they don't seem to care.
While talking to a support agent they asked me to do stupid things like try several browsers and computers. Changing machines or software on your end will NEVER change things when their servers send out garbage.
This is not the experience we want you to have, MRusty. Let me direct you in the right direction for support regarding this issue.
I can see that you've already contacted our support team and have an open ticket regarding the matter. However, I encourage reaching out through our chat or phone support again. This way, they can check the status of the ticket, help you further, and route you to higher-tier support if need be.
Here are the steps to contact us:
Please check out our support hours to ensure we can address your concerns promptly.

I appreciate the useless AI response, but it really is useless. The last agent I talked to wanted to close the ticket because they had told me the issue was being worked on. I told them, "You can not close the ticket because the issue has not been solved. When you fix your program you can close the ticket.
Besides. Users need to know about it.
In order to artificially keep their dismal support numbers up, Intuit closed the support ticket without fixing the issue. Very telling about how they view customer support...(along with the "?" after "Sincerely")
