Join nowThis system is very difficult to use! Have talked about my problems here but I can't find my way back.
Also, can't remember who helped me.
Here is my problem: I can't enter anything in the budget. It worked previously, but now it doesn't work at all.
No accounts show up with the amounts received or paid to date and NO BUDGET AMOUNTS show up. And I'm not allowed to enter anything, either.
QuickBooks Support has been awful: They don't know anything about QB for Mac or Budgeting.

I'll be glad to assist you, Joanne.
One of the reasons why you're unable to set up the budget is because of a company file issue. Make sure that your QuickBooks Desktop for Mac is updated.
You can also update it through our Downloads & Updates page.
If the same thing happens, we can rebuild your company file so we can fix any errors with it. Please check this article and follow the steps on the Repair your company file using the Rebuild Data tool section:
Please post again here if you need further help. Have a wonderful day!
I have the latest update for QB2019 V18.0.6.3350 R7.1
However every time I select Company menu > Set Up Budget then QB crashes.
How can I fix this and set up a budget?
It would be best to reach out one of our Phone Support agents, VegasAnnie.
The steps provided by my colleague helps some data issues in QuickBooks. Since the issue persists, it's best to contact us. This way, an agent will take a look at your account and investigate this further. Here's how:
When every thing's fine, you can check this article on how to create Budget: Create a budget or forecast.
I'm just around if you still need my help!
