You have two options for entering prepayments or deposits. An Accounts Payable or Asset account can be used. You'll want to work with an accounting professional to properly determine which one you'll need to use. If you're in need of one, there's an awesome tool on our website called Find an ProAdvisor. All ProAdvisors listed there are QuickBooks-certified and able to provide helpful insights for driving your business's success.
Once you've determined which process you'll be using, you can follow the steps in our Record vendor prepayments or deposits for prepaid parts or services article to enter your prepayment/deposit.
