can't send invoices

All the sudden I can't send my customers invoices!  I've been emailing invoices through my gmail email for  years, now all all the sudden it says the password is incorrect!  It's the same password I've used for this email for at least 5 years.  I've even tried other email accounts with their password.  Every time, it says "incorrect credentials or email settings".  What's going on?

These are the possible reasons why you receive this error message "incorrect credentials or email settings".

  • Might be the release version of your QuickBooks is outdated.
  • Something may be blocking the connection to your Google account.
  • Your antivirus software may accidentally block the connection.

Step 1: Update QuickBooks Desktop

Step 2: Check your email settings

  1. Follow the steps to enable access for less secure apps.
  2. Also, you can set access preferences for specific apps, like QuickBooks.
