I find it cumbersome to have to go to the "Business Overview" to get to the check register. Is there an easier way to get there?

If you're trying to bookmark the check register within the program, this option is unavailable in QuickBooks Online.
However, you can bookmark the register using the built-in bookmark feature from your browser. Once you're on the check register page, click the Star icon at the upper right of your browser and hit Done.
After that, you'll see the register on the bookmark bar above. See the sample screenshot below.
In case you want to know the available shortcut keys in QuickBooks Online, you can press CTRL + Alt + Question Mark (?) altogether.
Additionally, I recommend visiting this link: Account Management. These will provide links about managing your QuickBooks Online account, users, password, and billing.

the inability to bookmark the check register in the QBO user interface is ridiculous -- though consistent with the application's generally abominable user interface (conveniently polluted by constant attempts to sell me additional products and services).
please consider this a feature request for both the ability to bookmark bank registers and an ad-free/promotion-free version of the software that never tries to sell me anything.
