Can you pay bills to your vendor from quickbooks online? I have essentials plan. And I have tried but I can only get option to Save and write a check.

QuickBooks Online has the option to pay your vendors directly and is hassle-free. To enable you to pay your vendors online, you can use the Online Bill Pay for a faster transaction. With that being said, you can make payments right from within QuickBooks Online.

 

Here’s how:

 

1. Log in to your QBO account, and select the + New button.
2. Under Vendors, choose Pay Bills.
3. On the bills, you want to pay, select the checkbox. Then, click Next.
4. Review the payment info, if updates are necessary. Select Edit details.
5. Then Submit payment to submit your scheduled payments.

Hi, RoseJillB, I am in Canada and I think this feature is not available here. I have tried exact steps so many times but we don't get payment details in this steps. Also, just today I have had a chat with quickbooks support team Canada. I was told unless vendor is using quickbooks and send you payment request, you can not direct deposit or pay any vendor directly from quickbooks. That's a bummer. You can pay employees and private contractors using direct deposit but not the vendor. It would have been a Great help. Thank you for your reply
