Cannot access app

I am the accountant for a client of mine and they have downloaded an app, PaytraQer, which I cannot seem to access. The other apps all allow me to launch them; I added them myself. But the app that was not added by me I cannot access. Does my client have to somehow add me as a user even though I am the accountant in Quickbooks.

Cannot access app

Welcome to the Community forum, Birdwell Bookkeeping.

It depends on the Master or Company admin of the company file on how they set up access to a user. You can ask their permission to grant you with all access rights so you'll be able to navigate your client's app.

For additional reference, you can check this article to learn more about the user access: Understanding user types and permissions

OK, I guess I thought because I am listed as the accountant I would have access to everything I needed. Where can my client go to grant me access?

I'm here to ensure you can have access to your client's app, @Birdwell Bookkeeping.

Since you've mentioned that you're not the one who add this app, you'll need the administrator to transfer the ownership. This allows you to take over the app connection for the company.

Here's how:

  1. Choose Apps.
  2. Search for the app you're transferring.
  3. Select the app, then click Get App Now.
  4. Review the message details and select Connect anyway.
  5. Adjust the settings as necessary, then make sure the app is now associated with the new user ID.

For more information, please see this article: Transfer app ownership or disconnect apps.
