Join nowI have encountered a unique problem. A vendor has an item we buy and sell frequently that is technically a group, i.e., several items make up one product, while the individual items can (and do) sell separately. The price of the item (group) is less than the sum of its parts. I need to be able to group all the items together, and then price it according to the vendor's specifications, while leaving each individual item at it's non-bundled price. Below is a broken-down explanation:
Item 1: $2395
Item 2: $712
Item 3: $310 = total $3417
Items 1, 2, 3 as a Group: $3275
Is there a way to give a Qb inventory group its own price which is not equal to the sum of its parts? I'm currently using QB Desktop for Mac 2019. Any info would be appreciated.

Thank you for taking the time to express your concern in the Community. @MistiR.
The option to adjust the price of the bundled item's inventory group is currently unavailable.
As a workaround, you can add a discount item to the bundle to reduce the overall price of all items. Otherwise, use third-party software or any inventory management app that can be integrated with QuickBooks.

Thank you for the suggestion to add the discount. I think that will work well.
I have been trying to do the same thing - discount a group. I think I have talked to Quickbooks help for 4 hours. Can you explain what you mean by “As a workaround, you can add a discount item to the bundle to reduce the overall price of all items.”. I tried to add a negative item to reduce the price but it was not allowed. Thanks in advance for the help.

Hi there, @DavidK288. I've got the detailed steps on how to add a discount item to the bundle.
First, you'll have to create a discount item.
After that, you can create the bundle including the discount.
