Change print label for addresses

I'd like to print out some mailing labels of clients for a mailing and I don't see any options for choosing which Avery labels I want to print to? It does it without any question at 20 up, but my labels are 30-up?

I need to use Avery 5160 and that is not one of my options - is there a way to change from the preset labels?

I can share some information about how address labels work, TTahbo.

Unfortunately, we're unable to change the preset labels in QuickBooks Desktop. Additionally, Avery #5160 is currently unavailable in the program.

You'll want to select Avery #5260 instead. This label format is exactly the same as Avery #5160 in size (1" x 2-5/8") and available in similar materials (matte white and clear film). Here's how:

  1. Select File from the top menu bar.
  2. Choose Print Forms.
  3. Select Labels, then enter the name of your customers or vendors.
  4. Click Print, then go to the Options tab.
  5. From the Label Format drop-down menu, choose Avery #5260.
  6. Click Print to complete the process.

Thanks for joining in on this thread, CJT3.

To verify, are you having issues printing the label? If so, let's check the following before you start troubleshooting.

Once done, check if your printer can print outside of QuickBooks.

Here's how:

  1. Click Start and browse to Notepad.
  2. Enter some text and choose File, then Print.
  3. Select the correct printer and select Print.

If you're getting the same result, you can follow the rest of the solutions in this article: Resolve printing issues.

Then, try to print your label by following the steps provided by my colleagues above.

Please let me know if you need something else. I'll be around to provide the solutions. Take care and stay safe!

Change print label for addresses

I just switched to Quick Books Desktop 2022, and I do not see the Avery 5160 label as an option on the label drop down list.  There are several Avery options, but the 5160 is not one of them.  Can I add it?

I'd be glad to discuss the Avery label template in detail, Jce2670.

In QuickBooks, if the Avery label you need isn’t on the list, you can’t directly add a new one to the preset options. However, you can choose from the Avery labels 5260 or 5160 as a workaround since both have the same format. The only difference between these two is the quantity, where 5160 has 3,000 labels and 750 labels for product 5260.

To select your desired Avery label, here's how:

  1. Select File from the top menu bar.
  2. Choose Print Forms.
  3. Select Labels, then enter the names of your customers or vendors.
  4. Click Print, then go to the Options tab.
  5. From the Label Format drop-down menu, choose the label format that matches your needs (you may select Avery #5260 or #5160).
  6. Click Print to complete the process.

Although you can’t add a new Avery label in QuickBooks, I suggest sharing your feedback with our Product Development team. They may consider adding them in our future product updates.

To send a feedback request, please follow these instructions:

  1. Go to the Help option.
  2. Choose the Send Feedback Online option.
  3. Select the Product Suggestion option. A pop-up window displays.
  4. Enter your feedback suggestion.
  5. Click the Send Feedback button.

Additionally, you may consider exporting your data to Excel or CSV using Avery Design & Print Online software. This action can help create further customization with printing labels.
