Join nowI am trying to condense my desktop enterprise 2018 data file, so I can move import it to online quickbooks. I am trying to delete 2019 transactions, so I use the go through date of 01/01/2020. I run the condense and it does not condense the payroll data for 2019. The W2 employees have been reviewed when I printed W2 in Jan. Any idea why the 2019 payroll want delete?
Thank you for reaching out to the Community, CPEACC294.
Let me point you to the right support available, so you can delete the previous payroll.
Since the transactions are coming from the prior year, we'll need to access payroll information. The process requires account verification which can't be done in the Community for security purposes. I highly recommend reaching out to our Payroll Support team. They have tools to take a look at your account and do the process for you.
You can contact them by following the steps:
You can check our support hours and contact us at a time convenient to you.
I'm also adding these articles about condensing the QBDT file for import to QBO for your guide.
Reach out back to me if you have additional questions. I'm always ready to assist you further.
You have to make sure your Total Targets in your company file is < 350K prior to migrating to QBO. Otherwise, consider purchasing a 3rd party condense service.

SuperCondensing a file reduces the target count to under 350,000 making the transition to QuickBooks Online seamless. It further boosts responsiveness and performance, provides higher network stability and makes your file lesser prone to data corruption issues. Furthermore, this service reduces your file size up to 80%, allowing for the upgrade to newer versions faster and easier.
Using this service will not result in any loss of data and you will get a fully usable data file with a reduced file size.
