However, as a paying customer, why do I need to contact a developer forum for a feature/app that is officially released and should be supported?

We recommend reaching out to them if you encounter an issue with the said App since they are the ones who can help you resolve the problem. QuickBooks can't investigate further if the concern is with third-party apps.
