Join nowWe have customers who order the same thing numerous times. We use the invoice copy function from a previous document.
When we do this, and a negative inventory is created, the system does not "warn" of the negative. On new orders/invoices, it does advise.
Anyone have any ideas on this? Thanks for any help.
Hi there, nomoreptteachmt.
Thank you for the detailed post. I understand how this "Copy" function you want would help other users and consultants like you.
Intuit is always looking for ways how to improve the system to meet all your needs. We are also open to and value feedback like this. However, I suggest you directly send a request to our Product Development team.
Here's how:
If you need to get rid of or prevent the negative inventory, you can browse this link: Fix negative inventory issues in QuickBooks Desktop.
Feel free to drop me a line if you've ever had any questions about managing invoices and inventory. I'd be more than happy to help you out. Take care.
Seems like this feature would already be built in whenever a new document is created. Confusing why a sales order lets you know of inventory status, but not a copied invoice.
I hope your team works on this. I, however, won't be notifying them.
Thanks for the help.
