Customer/Project on a bill

How do I see what customer/project is allocated to what category on a bill WITHOUT opening each bill? Is there a report?

Customer/Project on a bill

Welcome to the Community, @SESPower.

I'd be happy to guide you to see the projects and categories on a bill through reports in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

To begin, you can use the Transaction list by Split report to show the category used in a bill. To show the only projects, you have to customize it by filtering the date, and the name of the projects.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the left navigation panel, and select Reports.
  2. Type Transaction list with splits and click it.
  3. Click the Customize beside the Save customization.
  4. Click the drop-down button under the Report period, and Filter the date.
  5. Select the Filter, and click the drop-down button of the Name section.
  6. Find the Name of the project that you want to run.
  7. Click Run report.

Additionally, you can reorder the columns by clicking the Gear Icon of the reports.

I will also include a helpful article that guides you in memorizing reports: Memorize reports in QuickBooks Online.

Please feel free to leave a comment below if you have any concerns regarding the transaction list by split report or any other QBO-related issues. We are always here to assist you.
